A body is found in a park, and Celine’s son Matteo happens to be nearby and is arrested. Celine goes rogue to help him, enlisting Morgane. They are led to a possible witness to the crime who has her own skeletons in the closet. Matteo is not the stoner he appears to be and pushes Daphne’s insecurity button. Oddball Judge Lafolet is assigned to investigate what happened to Laëtitia– and her phone’s contents lead straight to Karadec and Morgane. Then Celine has the whole team over to her place to work on Matteo’s case, thinly disguised as a murder mystery party.

Morgane says either que/qui son erreur or fait son erreur (1’33”), which means ‘he/who made a mistake?’ or something like ‘how did he go wrong?’
2’28”: It sounds like Morgane says est pour fous foutre, literally ‘is for crazy fuck.’
Juriste en herbe, ‘budding lawyer’ (4’10”), works as a pun in both French and English.
Morgane says she found the murder weapon, and when she hands it over says et l’auteur, ‘and the author’ (4’30”). What if it was et l’hauteur (and the height/altitude/length), silent h? The only thing I can think of is that she’s saying to the officer, ‘And handing it up/over to you.’
Saisi (5’45”) means ‘seized/caught/grabbed.’ But here it obviously refers to the squad being taken off the case, so I’m putting ‘pulled.’
I think Elite (9’22”) is the Spanish upper-class high school show Las Encinas.
I’m taking some liberties here and translating Matteo into Gangsta (10’54”).
Daphne says emergency calls can be looked up in the ‘central agency logs’ (11’33”). I’m putting ‘central call logs’ because agency is weird.
11’44”: ASR is Automatic Speech Recognition. I don’t know why they use an English acronym.
Assurance décès (17’55” c.f.) is ‘life insurance,’ although it’s usually assurance vie. Funnily it sounds like assurance d’essai, ‘test/trial insurance,’ as one would buy to test drive a car, or pharma companies buy for testing new drugs on human subjects.
QCM (21’45”) is Questionnaire a Choix Multiple.
Karadec is listed as a Captain on the org chart (23’04”).
A phone number with prefix 07 (25’58”) is a mobile number. Numbers starting with 06 are also mobiles.
Later (33’25”), Morgane is outraged that she should be expected to answer a call from an 07. Apparently the newer 07 prefix is less cool. Shades of the ‘new area code’ episode of Seinfeld.
Décompense (27’37”) means ‘decompensate’ of course, but in this situation ‘given up’ seems more appropriate, ‘lost it’ even more so.
Celine now calls boyfriend Judge Caron ‘Emmanuel’ instead of ‘Pierre-Emmanuel’ (28’13”).
I’m calling Caron’s character Eddie Fice instead of Eddie Fils because ‘Edifice’ is both French and English. And Eddie Fils translates to Eddie Son, which leads to Edison, who was not an architect.
Vous me prenez pour un jambon, ‘Do you take me for a Spanish Ham,’ means ‘Do you take me for an idiot/do you think I’m stupid.’
I’m translating de Blanc (29’30”) to White because I think it’s funnier.
A clock chimes once but it’s not 1 am. Sure, Celine then says it’s 11:30 so it could be a half-hour bell– but that’s in the game scenario. Maybe it’s a ship’s bell in our imagination, but it doesn’t really sound like one.
Upolu is the smaller of the two main islands in the independent nation of Samoa. American Samoa is 44 miles to the east.

33’11”: Morgane says either comment fait etait or comment c’est etait, or comment-something-ending-in-te. None of them really work, so my translation is what works with Karadec’s following question.
34’01”: This is almost the same as Caron’s line in the cold open.
Hercule Carotte (37’05”) is funny because Poirot sounds like poireau (leek).
Affaire (38’46”) here must mean ‘relationship’ since they’re married.
Tutuila (39’17”) is the large main island of American Samoa.
I may be be taking some liberties with Morgane’s lines at 40’56”, I have to assume she’s contracting everything: ’pas instead of je ne sais pas, ’tu plaire instead of elle tu plaire (you like her), ’m’etonnes instead of pas m’etonnes (not surprising).
42’02”: It’s a ship, so Gilles’ personal file is a log.
Gilles clearly says coudre, ‘sew’ (43’03”), and is using it as a verb while making a stabbing motion. I can’t find anything about coudre being slang for stab or stick/stuck (as in stuck with a needle). He must be saying coup, meaning ‘cut.’
Pique (44’32”) means pike/spear (e.g. pique à olive), but can also mean ‘flow.’ Here I’m translating it as ‘the depths.’
Un pur de dur (51’12”) means ‘pure hard,’ when applied to Karadec’s love for Bretagne it means extreme regional pride. It may be based on pur et dur (pure and hard), a Canadian term for some hard-line Quebec sovereignists.
A de body (bodysuit) for a baby (54’30”) must be a ‘onesie.’
